The Tourism Sustainability Plan in Destination Medio Cudeyo was approved on May 9, 2023 at the Tourism Sector Conference made up of officials from the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Innovation, Transport and Commerce of the Government of Cantabria and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism of the Government of Spain.

The Medio Cudeyo plan, endowed with €3,000,000 from the Next Generation European funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, is articulated by 41 actions.

The plan, prepared by the company Praxis Ingenieros, falls within the subcategory of rural destination with tourist identity, articulated around four programmatic axes: green and sustainable transition, improvement in energy efficiency, digital transition and competitiveness; and its central objective is to promote, create and implement sustainable and quality tourism development based on the natural, historical and cultural values of the municipality.
